    Hope the Spanish is going well. Sounds like the perseverance is going to pay off. I got my threshold Spanish exam when I lived in Lancaster then went to Lanzarote to speak Spanish and my enthusiasm was quickly crushed with the speed and accent of the replies I received, and quickness of locals to answer in English for time saving purposes. Will be interesting to hear how it goes from living in Mexico for several months

      It’s a much longer learning curve than I anticipated. I’m only just now (over a year after writing this post) starting to get an ear for words and phrases in native speech. With slightly slower speakers, and podcasts etc, I’m doing well. But locals all talk like Speedy Gonzales, way too fast to parse.
