Newsflash – Italy
Just a brief update as I’m using roaming data on my phone. I hit the Med at Nice last Thursday, and spent a blissful couple of rest days with a lovely family there who took me in on sight. I crossed into Italy on Sunday & have now made it over the hills from Savona to the Po plain. Italy has been hard going so far, busy everywhere & not easy to find camping places. Cold rain & wind all day today – a big change from the balmy Cote d’Azur – but I’m making decent progress, 60-70 miles most days. Now drying out all my kit in a dodgy cheap motel near Piacenza. Daren’t look at the weather forecast! Hoping to get to Venice in a couple of days from here.
I’ll write a proper update soon, promise.

Ciao Dan, You’re making good progress – the weather for Venice is clear blue skis on Fri and Sat then sun/cloud for the 3 days after that. Have fun!
